Collection includes information re coastal activities of S.C. troops, 1861-1864, at Charleston, McPhersonville and Pocotaligo, S.C., and Kinston, N.C., with comments on blockade running involving ships of Confederate treasurer [George A.] Trenholm, camp life, and indifference of residents to shelling of Charleston, S.C. Including letter, 1 Sept. 1869, from B.G. Wilkins re the effect of the Civil War on the South.
