Grossetta family papers, 1886-1957.

Correspondence, scrapbooks, photographs, one business ledger from the personal and business activities of the Grossetta family. The business ledger, 1892-1893, contains accounts for agents in various towns possibly in the grocery business. Ten scrapbooks contain clippings and correspondence from Warren Grossetta and his county political career. There are photographs of family members and 16mm files of family activities in the 1920s and 1930s. there are also printed bills from the 24th Territorial Legislature.

Merchant; Anthony Grossetta (1856-1924) arrived in Tucson in 1880 and opened a grocery store, then a hardware store. In 1897, he built the Tucson Opera House, and later served in the 24th Territorial Legislature and was first president of the Tucson Light and Power Company.
