Collection consists of about 900 letters from Phillpotts to his literary agent, W. Morris Coles, various publishers, and to friends and admirers, as well as signed publishers agreements, corrected manuscripts, and clippings. Includes a letter from Phillpotts to Clarence Darrow and letters from Arnold Bennett to Phillpotts. Manuscripts include an appreciative essay of Phillpotts' novels, a draft introduction to the Widecombe edition of Phillpotts' novels, The price of Milly Bassett, and the play, The secret women, by Phillpotts.
