Minute Men of 1940 statement of purpose [manuscript], 1940.

Description how the "Minute Men of '40," like their 1776 predecessors, need to defend Americans' "vital and conscious determination, to make active and constructive the passive and confused patriotism which each citizen has for the United States, and, finally, to show the advocates of aggression that democracy is not ready to die." The men argue that the passage of a Selective Service Act and the organization of the youth to defend the country is necessary and of utmost importance.
