Biography of Charles Rollin Madison : typescript, [ca. 1975].

Biography of California artist Charles Rollin Madison by his daughter describes his childhood in Indiana, his parents, education, and married life in Oakland, Calif. Also discusses his study of art at Stanford University and at Partington's Art School in San Francisco, study of architecture and campus life at UC Berkeley, teaching duties at Boone's Academy in Berkeley, and outings at Carmel and Healdsburg. Includes effects of the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fire and the 1923 Berkeley fire on Madison's work for Mason-McDuffie Realty Company and others. Relates the Madisons' retirement at Glen Ellen, and later years.
