Lease between Asbury Harpending and Frank R. and Alfred O. Larkin : San Francisco, Calif. : ms, 1868 Aug. 1, 1871 Dec. 12.

Lease for parcel of San Francisco land located between Market and Stevenson Streets, and below Battery and Sansome Streets, to be paid at the rate of $1000 in gold per month for twenty years. This land is referred to as part of a Montgomery Street extension plan in Harpending's book, The great diamond hoax. Included is a notary public certificate with the seal of J.W. McKenzie of San Francisco. Lease is signed by A. Harpending, while the cancellation of Dec. 12, 1871 is signed by Harpending's attorney Maurice Dore and by the Larkins.
