Organization founded in 1920 to assist women veterans of World War I; the Tucson Unit was organized in October of 1934. The twenty charter members included Hazel Burgess, Ina E. Gittings, Mabel Ribelin, Grace Wilton, and Myrtle Winchester. In 1958, the Tucson Unit hosted the W.O.S.L. National Convention, which was jointly chaired by Mildred Parsons and Ina Gittings.
