Samuel X Radbill, pediatrician and medical historian, was born in Philadelphia in 1901. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1924 and married Frances Hoffman in 1925. In 1926, he opened a private practice in his home and was certified as a pediatrician in 1938. Radbill died in Philadelphia in 1987.
