Official American League game report from the September 20, 1998 game played between the New York Yankees and the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards (Baltimore, Maryland). This marked the first Orioles game since May 30, 1982 that Cal Ripken did not play, a streak of 2,632 games. Cal Ripken's name is written into the sheet and crossed out with red pen. Ripken was replaced by Ryan Minor at third base. Ripken surpassed the record of 2,130 games held by Lou Gehrig. The game was won by the New York Yankees, 5-4.
