Donald Mattern scrapbooks, 1922-1926.

This collection consists of two scrapbooks documenting Mattern's time as a Penn State student. One scrapbook documents the Engineering Summer Camp of 1924, containing photographs of the mountains, waterfalls, student tents, and student engineers. The second scrapbook contains photographs of the Penn State campus, including Old Main, Armory, the main entrance, Old Willow, the library, Horticulture building, Auditorium, Track House, and aerial views. There are also photographs of several athletic teams and events, such as the wrestling, basketball, boxing, track, and football teams. Along with the football photographs are tickets, posters to encourage Coach Bezdek to remain at Penn State, programs, and buttons to support the Penn State team. There are also photographs of students activities, such as Poverty Day, class scraps (such as the Tug-of-War, Push-Ball, Tie-Up, and Pants scraps), and Stunt Night. In addition to the photographs, there are pieces of rope from the Tie-Up scrap, dance cards, commencement programs, Thespians programs, a copy of The All-American student newspaper, Penn State Alumni News, and newspaper clippings.
