The Fiesta San Antonio Commission was created by the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce in 1959 to promote and coordinate fiestas, celebrations and other events in San Antonio that encourage the memory of the history and culture of Texas. Specifically, the Commission oversees the staging of the annual ten-day Fiesta that commemorates the Battles of the Alamo and San Jacinto.
