Papers, 1804-1833.

One ledger and three journals of a general store in Wakefield, N.C., in what is now Wake county. Accounts generally list the name of the head of the household. If someone other than this person made a purchase, the entries give the relationship to the head of household and often the name, including the names of slaves. There are a few accounts in the names of free blacks. Also includes one loose item.
