Collection consists of music manuscripts, books, and printed music related to four types of CBS productions: features films, television series, television specials, and television movies, The productions fall under the CBS Television Network, CBS Entertainment Division, CBS Productions Network, and, in a few cases, earlier manifestations of these divisions. Includes the following: manuscript scores, parts, and a few Ozalid masters of both scores and parts for film and television productions; printed sheet music and folios of popular music; publishers catalogs, brochures; published books about music; and published silent film music. Includes materials by composers such as Bernard Herrmann, Fred Steiner, Franz Waxman, Henry Mancini, Jerry Goldsmith, John Williams, Bill "Rocky" Conti, Alex North, Jeff Alexander, Lyn Murray, and Dimitri Tiomkin. Productions represented include TV series such as Gunsmoke, Twilight zone, Rawhide, Gilligan's island, Wild wild west, Have gun will travel, Perry Mason, and Hawaii 5-0. Also includes music for feature films such as The reivers, Little big man, Rio Lobo, The April fools, and Table for five. Also contains many scores for live Playhouse 90 dramas.
