Papers, 1898-1922.

The majority of the collection concerns the Philippine Insurrection. Of special interest is a battered copy of the 1st South Dakota Infantry March, in the Miscellany series, and several issues of newspapers printed for American soldiers in the Philippines. The Maps series consists of an undated map of Fort Leavenworth and vicinity, and a 1904 map of the Philippines.

Military officer, college professor. Frost moved to Brookings in 1893 where he was a professor of Military Science and Tactics at the South Dakota Agricultural College. While at Brookings he was also admitted to the bar. In 1896 Frost became an instructor for the South Dakota National Guard.
