A letter from John B. Moon, 1900 May 1, discusses a suit against the University. A letter from attorney John T. Harris, Jr., 1900 October 12, encloses and discusses a list of library books at the University of Virginia pertaining to Virginia History and literature compiled by Charles Kent. A letter from Thomas H. Carter, University of Virginia superintendent of grounds and buildings, 1903 November 21, discusses appropriations for the University, mentioning the amounts given other institutions, and the plan to consolidate the state's medical schools. People mentioned include William H. Boaz, William Duke, Tipton D. Jennings, [Silas D.?] Walker, Carter Glass, Dr. George Ben Johnston, Henry T. Wickham and J. N. Harmon. He enlists Gordon's help to influence Walker's vote in the Finance Committee. A form letter from president Edwin A.
