E. A. Alderman letter to John S. Patton regarding the Poe Centenary book [manuscript], 1909 Jul 6.

Letter notifying Patton of the approval of the bill for $214.30 to the Michie Company, in payment of the Poe Centenary book. However, the President writes that he was given the impression that Patton was receiving income from another source to help bear some of the expense, and that he expects Patton to do what he can to reduce the bill as a charge on the University budget as promptly as possible.
