The collection contains a House of Delegates Bill as introduced by Virginius R. Shackelford to provide for the admission of properly prepared mature women not less than 18 years of age to the graduate and professional courses of the University of Virginia, 1918; the same bill as introduced in the Senate with handwritten notes on the verso on the bill's support; a bill, undated, to extend the usefulness of the University of Virginia and to give credit toward degrees to women for work done in the Summer School; a handwritten draft, 1918, of a bill to admit women to lecture course and to permit them to receive degrees; and a House of Delegates imprinted envelopes containig a list of names, possibly those of members of the committee on schools and colleges.
