Petition by the Chicago Legal Committee in RE: Joseph Jefferson "Shoeless Joe" Jackson to remove Joe Jackson from Baseball's ineligible list to allow him to be elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. The petition was prepared by these lawyers in the name of Bob Feller and Ted Williams, members of the Baseball Hall of Fame. The document includes a history of the 1919 World Series, trial of the eight Black Sox, and a legal assessment of the case made for reinstating Joe Jackson.
