Two speeches by the Rev. Joseph Richardson of Hingham (Mass.). The first, an Independence Day "Discourse for the Suppression of Intemperance," was delivered 5 July 1824. The second, an "address" given at the dedication of a schoolhouse, is undated. Subjects include paupers, taxes, liquor, education, and public schools.
