Summary record of the proceedings of chancery cases showing title of cause and a record of the actions taken in court, including the judgment. The territorial district courts and subsequently the circuit courts had specific chancery (equity) jurisdiction until 1856 when the distinction between actions at law and suits in equity was abolished. The record includes many land purchase and mortgage foreclosure cases and some maps of the property involved.
