Berry, " including correspondence ca. 1970s-1990s; other columnists include Catherine H. Lewis, Blanche W. Floyd, Kelly Paul Joyner, J. Marcus Smith, and Wynness Thomas. Topics addressed in "Volume II," 1992-1993, include Indian place names; a Civil War sites; impact of World War II; development of Myrtle Beach; drug stores, diners, and other businesses; pirate legends and other folklore; Pawleys Island; timber industry; settlement of Brunswick, N.C.; and founding of library in Conway and discovery of letter from Charlotte Bronte.
