Alben Barkley-Lucien Barnes letters, 1954.

This collection consists of two letters. One is a typewritten letter signed by Alben W. Barkley, May 14, 1954, in Paducah, Kentucky, to Lucien N. Barnes of Columbia, Missouri, thanking him for his letter concerning Barkley's Saturday Evening Post articles and suggesting that Barnes write to the Kentucky Historical Society for information about his ancestor, Shadrach Barnes. The second letter, dated May 21, 1954, is from Barnes to the Society requesting information on his ancestor.
