The Japanese American Research Project (originally named the Issei History Project) was initiated by Wakamatsu Shigeo, President of the Japanese American citizens League (JACL) in 1960. Miyakawa was born Nov. 23, 1906 in Los Angeles, CA; BS, Cornell, 1929; Ph.
