The collection contains sixteen field notebooks, nine reports, a certificate of analysis and two copies of maps of copper ore analyses for the African Copper Corp. in South Africa. Bellows evaluated mines for bauxite, copper, gold, and tin. The field notebooks include Bellows's observations and sketches in Arizona, 1936 (1 vol.), Bolivia, 1941-1950 (1 vol.), British and Dutch Guiana [Surinam], 1936-1937 (2 vols.), Haiti and Korea, 1956-1959 (1 vol.), Korea, 1960 (3 vols.), North Carolina, 1936 (1 vol.), Peru, 1938-1940 (4 vols.), and Peru, Chile, and Bolivia, 1940-1941 (1 vol.). The nine reports are: "Annie Creek Mining Co., Trojan, S.D. cost estimates for 100 ton cyanide plant," "Bauxite mines of the Riouw archipelago, Indonesia, " "Fabex Company gold bearing properties at Tamakay, Mazaruni River, British Guiana, " "International Mining Company Yungas mines, operating report, second semester 1945" and for second semester 1948. Also, "The Nevada tin mine, Bolivia, memorandum" for International Mining Company, "Norlina Mining Co., Essex, N.C. portis mine," "Petrographic report on two specimens of ore from the Allatoona gold mine, Cartersville, Georgia, " and "Sturges prospect, Nash County, N.C., memorandum" for Norlina Mining Co.
