The series consists of correspondence of the Atlanta Urban League Board of Directors from 1947-1968. The bulk of the collection includes letters to and from Jesse B. Blayton, with some to and from James O'Hear Sanders, Austin T. Walden, and Isabel Webster. Much of the correspondence relates to routine business activities of the Atlanta Urban League; some letters relate to personal matters. Prominent correspondents include Theodore Kheel and Lester Granger, National Urban League past presidents; Congressman Chester Bowles; various Atlanta city officials and businessmen; and Atlanta Urban League officers.
