Administrative policy records, 1918-1968, bulk 1918-1955.

Series 61 of the University of Florida Archives Public Records Collection contains records files from the office of the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences (now College of Liberal Arts and Sciences) at the University of Florida. Most of the files were generated during the terms of Townes R. Leigh and Ralph E. Page, although the series does contain some earlier materials of James Nesbitt Anderson. Only a few files from the period of 1955-1968 are included. Of special interest are a 1948 report on the status of the college, a folder on the creation of the School of Business Administration, budgets for 1920-1941, and a file on the organization of the General College (later University College) in 1935. Also included are records of the University Curriculum Committee, 1937-1950, and the Equity Committee, 1936-1948.
