Moses Quinby account book, 1809-1856.

Account books and loose receipts kept by Moses Quinby, lawyer and farmer of Portland, Maine. Many entries reflect Quinby's work as agent and administrator of several estates. His clients also included the town of Westbrook (later Portland), which he represented on matters relating to school districts and the poorhouse, and the First Parish Church. There are also entries for farming, wages, and road taxes as well as memos noting family activities and people hired.
