Lachlan McIntosh family papers, 1755-1829.

The series consists of papers of the Lachlan McIntosh family from 1755-1829. The papers include correspondence, military documents, accounts, a journal, and bills or receipts. The materials mainly document General McIntosh's activities during the Revolutionary War and contain a list of killed and wounded on British lines (1776-1777), list of Continental officers for exchange (1780), a journal (1780) documenting the siege of Charleston (S.C.), and a document containing the laws of the Creek Nation as written by Chilly McIntosh.
