The correspondence (1917-1982) includes letters (1945-1973) concerning Hargrett's gifts to the University of Georgia (UGA) and other institutions; correspondence (1932-1980) pertaining to Hargrett's establishment of an endowment fund at UGA; correspondence (1917-1969) with book and manuscript dealers; personal letters between Hargrett family members; and correspondence (1971-1982) regarding the Botanical Garden at UGA.
