Veterans Service Project files, 1944-1951.

The collection consists of records of the Veterans Service Project (VSP) of the SRC from 1944-1951. The records document the Project's interest in helping returning veterans secure employment, job training, housing, and financial assistance in starting businesses. The administrative records contain mostly correspondence and reports from VSP field agents. The state program files include correspondence and reports relating to VSP activities in various Southern States. The collection also contains research files consisting of material on various subjects of interest to the VSP and some miscellaneous publications.
