Charles Hart Olmstead (1837-1926), of Savannah, Ga., was a Confederate Army officer and member of the 1st Georgia Infantry Regiment. Olmstead was adjutant of the 1st Georgia Volunteer Regiment and, under the command of Colonel A. R. Lawton, took part in the occupation of Fort Pulaski, Ga., at the mouth of the Savannah River.
