Eugenius Aristides Nisbet papers, 1822-1848.

The collection mainly consists of letters from Eugenius Aristides Nisbet to his wife, Amanda Battle Nisbet from 1822-1848. Includes letters written while Nisbet was serving in the Georgia House of Representatives and Senate, the U.S. House of Representatives, and while serving in the Georgia Supreme Court. The letters mainly concern family matters, only a few talk of state and national political matters. The collection also contains Nisbet's resignation (1841) from the U.S. House of Representatives, a brief note (1846) from Judge Hiram Warner, and obituaries of Nisbet's death.
