Benjamin Henry Barrow papers, 1873-1964.

The collection consists of papers of Benjamin Henry Barrow from 1873-1964. The papers include correspondence; diaries; field notes (1904-1925) kept by Barrow as Clarke County surveyor; photographs; and maps, land plots, and road building information pertaining to Barrow's surveying and construction work. The correspondence (1891-1949) contains letters from Barrow to his parents, Frances and David C. Barrow, discussing family news, activities at the University of Georgia (Athens), and information pertaining to surveying and engineering activities. The correspondence also contains typed carbons of Barrow's correspondence pertaining to his work, and letters between Barrow and his wife Henry Barrow. Barrow's diaries (1904, 1920s, and 1957-1963) contain entries on the weather and work related information. The collection also contains deeds (1873-1925).
