Guido Adler correspondence, [ca. 1880-1938].

The collection consists of correspondence of Guido Adler from ca. 1880-1938. The letters detail the activities of Adler throughout his life and contain information on his participation in musical societies, his work organizing the Haydn and Beethoven centennial festivals, and his editorship of the HANDBUCH DER MUSIKGESCHICHTE. Along with correspondence to Adler, the series includes drafts of Adler's response or typed carbon copies.
