The collection consists of papers of Dr. G. Lombard Kelly from 1919-1972. The papers include his medical school class notes (1919-1922), manuscripts of works written by Kelly, reprints of his articles, and correspondence (bulk 1928-1939). Of particular interest in the correspondence are letters (1928-1937) relating to the threatened closing of the Medical Dept. (later School of Medicine), University of Georgia in Augusta (Ga.). The letters are between Kelly and physicians and members of the Regents of the University System of Georgia.
