The collection consists of papers of Methodist Bishop Arthur J. Moore from 1910-1973. The papers include correspondence, minutes (1942-1960) of the Executive Committee of the Board of Missions of the Methodist Church, reports, sermons and writings of Moore, and printed material. The materials document Moore's activities within the Methodist Church including missionary work both within the United States and abroad, his involvement with Epworth-By-the-Sea (St. Simons, Ga.) and Paine College (Augusta, Ga.), as well as Moore's writing career.
