John E. Morris papers, 1869-1918.

John Emery Morris' collection of daybooks, scrapbooks, insurance rate information, grocery account books, bank books, and household expense books. The daybooks record both personal and professional accounts. Morris worked his way from clerk to assistant secretary of the Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford. He was married to Mary Pamelia Felt. The couple had three children, Henry Lincoln, Edward Bontecou, and John Felt. John Emery Morris died in 1911.
