The Caravan by Hauff, translated by J.F., 1911 October 23.

James Fowler of Templeton Rectory translated Hauff's Die Karawane from the original German. Members of a caravan entertain each other by telling stories. The story of the caravan is interwoven among the others: the story of Caliph Stork, the spectre ship, the amputated hand, the rescue of Fatima, Little Muck, the false prince, and the robber Orbasan.
