Mathews papers, 1858-1962 (bulk 1910-1962).

Correspondence, travel diary, manuscripts, printed material, and miscellany relating mostly to family and civic involvements. Correspondence is between family members or from charity organizations, a 1927 diary recounts an automobile trip through California, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona, and manuscripts consist of speeches, autobiographical sketches, and research concerning Las Posadas and her life. There are printed materials about the history of the Arizona Children's Home, and about activities of various women's organizations. Also present is a 1916 sketchbook containing blueprint caricatures of Arizona Eastern Railroad employees drawn by Gus Schnieder.
