Historical Society of New Mexico photograph collection [graphic]. [1859-19--]

Summary: Collection consists of images of New Mexico and four of its cities: Albuquerque, Las Vegas, Santa Fe, and Taos. Images of cities include some people. Some postcards are hand-tinted. Albums contain images that were taken by Lindsey Root, an amateur photographer and Assistant Administrative Engineer for the New Mexico Highway Department. Images are of various Highway Department projects including road construction and snow removal. Also included are movie stills, aerial images of Espanola and Abiquiu, and other images of New Mexico buildings and New Mexico and Colorado archaeological ruins.
