Correspondence, reports, minutes, manuscripts, legal documents, legal case files, and photographs relating to Chambers' historical interests and business and civic involvement. Includes original documents of Cochise County court case files, 1880-1907, records of the Old Dominion Mine, 1880-1886, the 1820 census and inventory of the chapel of San Agustin at the Presidio at Tucson by Pedro Arriquibar, and manuscripts by John A. Rockfellow. Cochise County court files include criminal cases for Frank Stillwell, Curly Bill Brocius, John Heath, Frank Leslie, and others. Also present are records and correspondence of many organizations involved in the planning and development of Tucson, including the Tucson Sunshine Climate Club, the Chamber of Commerce, Scrap Metal Campaign, War Production Board, Postwar Plan and the Tucson Street Naming Committee. There are also photographs of the restoration of the San Xavier Mission, research on Father Oblasser, and material on building a road on Mount Lemmon and the designation of Saguaro National Monument. Other projects include cattle brand research, excavation of the old Presidio in Tucson, 1954, and a school record from Greaterville, Ariz., 1882-1907. Also present are aerial views of the Tucson area including homes, ranches, businesses, and the Rodeo Parade, ca. 1945-1955.

Rancher; Rockfellow arrived in Arizona in 1878. He was a miner in Tombstone, then established the NY Ranch in the Sulphur Spring Valley near Cochise Stronghold in partnership with Walter E. Servoss and Jack Spencer. He also taught mathematics for two years at the University of Arizona, served four years as Cochise County School Superintendent circa 1908, and maintained a civil engineering practice in Tombstone.
