Summary: Collection consists primarily of field notes, records and papers of John H. Walker, U.S. Deputy Surveyor in New Mexico for the General Land Office. Series I includes materials on the San Clemente, Sebastian Martin, Tierra Amarilla, Santo Domingo, and Mora land grants. Series II includes undated materials from Santa Fe city land surveys. Series III includes a 1911 time book and diary of work from the Rio Grande Southern Railroad Company, and a 1915 delivery receipt book from Wells Fargo and Company Express.
