Head or militia grant eligibility list for applicants approved by the Territorial Governor in 1797 and certified by the territorial Secretary on September 21, 1805. Included are names of heads of families at Cahokia, Prairie du Rocher, and Kaskaskia (1783); and men enrolled in the St. Clair County, Prairie du Rocher, and Kaskaskia militias on August 1, 1790.

The Kaskaskia Land District Office was created by an act of Congress on March 26, 1804.
