Summary: Collection consists of publications, scrapbooks, and other materials concerning World Wars I and II. Series I consists of materials collected and created by the New Mexico Board of Historical Service, a state agency established to document New Mexico's wartime activities and contributions during World War I. Includes Allied propaganda, posters promoting American patriotism, and materials produced by the U.S. War Department and the Selective Service. Series II consists primarily of scrapbooks of newspaper clippings, including obituaries of New Mexican servicemen, and photostats of New Mexico servicemen's discharges. Includes Allied propaganda and materials concerning military bases, victory gardens, and the internment of Japanese Americans in New Mexico during World War II.
