Christina Georgina Rossetti letters and burial hymns, 1876-1895, undated.

The collection contains eight letters and one printed pamphlet. Rossetti writes to her brother, William, 12 January 1885, about offering books to the Cheltenham Free Library; to W.B. [William Bell Scott], 26 [no month] 1885, about the health of women friends; to her brother, William, 3 July [1893], concerning a valuation consignment of their brother Dante Gabriel Rossetti's artwork upon the death of their Aunt Eliza Polidori; to Mr. [Henry William] Burrows, Saturday night, apologizing for the trouble she gave him; to Dear Sir, 5 December [no year], about D.G. Rossetti's Petrarch and a forthcoming English translation by Mr. Charles Bagot] Cayley; to [Henry Treffry] Dunn, Monday, about his gift of a portrait of D.G. Rossetti to her mother; to Mrs. Hunt, Tuesday morning, mentioning a petition against vivisection. A printed copy of Hymns selected for the first of the burial service, at Christ Church, Woburn Square, on Wednesday, January 2, 1895, for the late Christina G. Rossetti, who died December 29th 1894, contains Hymn after the lesson, and Hymn after the prayers, words by Christina G. Rossetti, which she chose for her funeral.
