Letter : Charleston, S.C., to [E.S. Norris], 1864 Jan. 21.

Letter to his father in Anderson District (S.C.) concerns the shelling of Charleston (S.C.) by Union forces that demolished Norris' quarters on George Street near Glebe Street and forced him to move to a building on the corner of Pitt and Montagu. Norris also discusses the sale of flour and molasses and arrangements for transporting these products by rail.
