Advertising records, 1863-1864.

The first item is an invoice for advertisements placed by Richard Caldwell of the Commissary General's Department in the Yorkville Enquirer between June 17, 1863 and May 11, 1864; with a receipt for costs for advertisements concerning salt and cloth for the families of soldiers as well as the distribution of alcohol, pure spirits, liquor, and cotton. The second item is an invoice for advertisements placed in the Lancaster Ledger dated June 24, 1864. The Lancaster Ledger advertisements concern "regulations in regard to manufacture spirits" and a list of distillers.
