Edward Bulwer Lytton letters, 1828-1868, undated.

The collection contains nine letters. On 1 December 1828 Lytton sends volumes of books to his unnamed correspondent; to "Dear Sir," 11 March [1836?], about actor William Charles Macready's interest in appearing in his play at the Haymarket and mentions Mr. Morris; to Mr. [David E.] Morris, manager of the Haymarket, 5 April 1836, about Macready and Lytton's play [The Duchess de la Valliere]; to Mr. Morris, Wednesday, inviting him to visit; to My dear d'Aqueler, 16 April [1838?], about Alice; he writes to "Dear Sir," 23 November 1851, recommending books to consult about the social history of the 13th century [with typed transcription]; on 15 November 1862 about the drawings for a maze, possibly at Knebworth; to Lady Palmerston, 9 February 1868, notifying her he has stables available to rent; to My dear Sir, Monday, inviting him to visit this summer.
