Charles H. Miller correspondence and transcriptions concerning B. Traven, 1949-1986 (bulk 1962-1986)

This collection of materials pertaining to B. Traven was compiled by Charles H. Miller, at one time secretary to Traven. It consists primarily of ca. 400 letters and postcards. There are, in addition, prints of several articles by Traven, bibliographies of his works, articles and newspaper clippings about Traven by Miller and others, and several photographs. The correspondence includes letters between Miller and Eric Bentley, Traven's wife Rosa Elena Lujan and Miller, as well as their letters to publishers and others. The bulk of the correspondence concerns the editing and marketing of Traven's books, although some of Lujan's letters contain more personal sections as well.
