Summary: Collection consists of: 1. One 12 page handwritten letter from Dyer to Dr. Robert Johnson in 1847 describing the United States Army assault on Taos during the Taos revolt. 2. One typescript and one photocopy of Dyer's 1847 letter. 3. One photocopy of a typescript of Dyer's 1846-1848 journal, written during his participation in the Mexican War. 4. A record of Dyer's military service.
